You can recreate a monkey.....

But their habits will stay the same.  As soon as I brought up warm laundry this happened.  I just turned my back for a few seconds, heard the giggling, and knew something was up.  I can see that some things will never change.  Never let a monkey near the warm laundry!

You gotta do what you gotta do

Today has been a cold, cold day compared to the last week or so.  It was windy and rainy and it sent chills down to my tiny minkee bones.  I did what any good monkey would do, found some warmth.  These are a pair of Jen's moon pants.  They are a bit too big, so I think I will have to locate somewhere new to get warm.

I decided to go straight for the warm socky goodness.  I crawled into Jen's socks and hung out for a while.  Only problem was that she was unable to walk with me in her socks.  It became a problem when she had to go cook dinner, so I had to find a new place to stay warm as well.
Now, that's the stuff.  A nice warm pillow, Guillermo's warming toots and a dryer sheet on my head.  This is the life.  It is good to be a minkee sometimes.  Hope Jen doesn't want this pillow any time soon.

Techno Minkees

Is there a better way to spend a Satday than this?  Hanging out in the chair, wearing some socks?  Well.....

Oh yeah, thats the stuff.  We put on save rave music got out the glow sticks and whistles and had at it.
Now, were spent.  Who knew hooting and dancing around the apartment would take so much out of us.  Good thing we don't have anything on the agenda to do today except play, play, play!
Hey Jen.... Would you turn the music back on?  We're ready for round 2.  We are going to sleep well tonight!

Tis the Season to be Minkee Fx4

We minkees love the holidays. And with 'Death Storm 2008' heading our way what better way to spend our day than dressing up in some holiday get ups.

Hopefully our cuteness will take everyones minds off of the horrific weather coming our way. It looks like up to 3/4" of ice accumulation with up to 8 inches of snow on top, yuck. However, these storms have a tendency to miss us almost completley. Let's hope!

To continue on with the holiday spirit we would like to leave you with a little ditty:

Cabin Fever

This totally sucks!  With winter settling in for the long haul we are forced to play inside, no sunporch for us.  We better make the most of it.

Being minkees we can usually make the most of a situation.  We tried out some balancing acts.  Good thing we are flexible, huh!  It was hard staying up here on Bernardo's head, but I managed.

Look what we found in the trash can just sitting there!  Well, this was hours worth of fun.  Well, not so much fun as getting stuck on our little noses.  (It did take Jen some time to 'reshape' our noses to their oh so perfect shape.)  What I wanted to do with the tube was make it into a fart cannon and put it up to peoples faces, but once again Bernardo pointed out I need to be known for my cuteness, not just my ability to stink up a room.  By the way, I can't believe that she laughed at us when she found us like this on the couch. 

Check out these ultra warm/cool sock outfits.  I think we may be wearing them all winter long if it stays this cold!  We had better call it a night.  One of our favorite yearly programs is on (The Librarian) and we want to get ready.  Jen already made us a nice warm cup of Chai to split and we are set for the night.  Minkees out!

It's too cold out!

Maybe we are just spoiled, but it has been getting waaaay too cold in the apartment lately. These last two days we have had to spend the day donned in socks just to keep warm. Granted, we look pretty darn awesome, but a monkey needs to get out occassionally and stretch their legs and run around. It is pretty hard to do that with it being so cold in here. We have a special request. Could you maybe change the thermostat from 67 to 80..... just for an hour or two for us to warm up..... We didn't think so, can you blame a monkey for trying?

We're Alive!!!!

Well, as alive as two knit monkeys can be!

We are actually quite lucky!  If you read about our antics yesterday, you would understand why we were in so much trouble.  Check it out Part 1; Part 2.  We kinda deserved Jen's anger, we did take the headboard apart.  Luckily we came through unharmed.  The worst part was that we weren't allowed to watch our favorite show, DDD, and Guillermo couldn't put any "Sauce on it".  We also now have rules that we have to follow for the next two days.  It really sucks, but like we said we deserved it (is that enough times saying it?  Sorry.  We are just curious little minkees)

Here are the rules:

1. No Hats :(
2. No Food Network (so we can't put any sauce anywhere)
3. No executive suites.  I guess we did destroy them.
4. No playing in the laundry
5. No playing with anything from the tool box EVER AGAIN
6. And we have to be beer monkeys for the next two days.  One of them wants a brew, we have to go and get it.

It is going to be a rough couple of days, but we can manage.  I think we got off a little easily for what we did.  We learned our lesson.  Now, lets watch some T.V.

AAAAAWWWWW, Jen left us the wrong remote.  D*MN IT, now we have to crawl to the t.v.  Maybe Brian will hook us up before he goes to work.

Laundry Day Awesomeness!!!

Guess what day yesterday was.  LAUNDRY DAY!!!!!

It was awesome.  Jen let us jump right in and play away.  We were there for what felt like hours.  I think she felt guilty because she didn't find us right away yesterday when we were playing hide and go seek.  Either way, we had a great time, especially since we jumped right in while everything was nice and warm.  Jen really rocks sometimes!  (Brian does too, but that was Jen's laundry so we had to give her props)

On a side note, we are looking for some new ideas for adventures.  It could be a place to visit or a random adventure to go on, or fun outfit you would like to see us in.  Whatever.  Drop us  a comment (or e-mail) and give us your ideas.  We aim to please.  Plus, we would like to venture outside of the apartment some time soon.  We love it here, but it can be boring at times.

Sock Blanket!!!

As soon as the laundry basket was brought upstairs we hopped inside and grabbed as many socks as we could and made a blanket.  It is soooooo  warm in here, especially since I farted.  And to top it off, we got a banana and I took the sticker and put it on my nose.  I love stickers.  I'm surprised that Jen let me put it on my nose after last time.  I'll have to see how far I can take this sticker thing...  

Good Book

We started off our morning rooting through the sock drawer to find some hats.  Then settled down with our morning tea and read a good book.  Our favorite is Five Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed.  Today we read Bunny Big and Bunny Small.  I am sure you can figure out from the title what the book was about.  I'm not sure what we are going to do later, but it is laundry day and monkeys love warm socks fresh from the dryer.......  MMMMMM Hats!!!!!
