Book Club

Greetings all. For one of our new years resolutions we decided we needed to become more scholarly and read more. So we are starting a book club.We decided to start the year off with the riveting story about Sir Fartsalot and his hunt for the booger. It is 200+ pages of fun filled adventures!
Being best minkee buds we like to read together. Sometimes we take turns reading paragraphs aloud together, sometimes we read on our own.
It is nice to sit and quietly reflect on the text. We are up to chapter 3 so far today. There are knights, a king and queen, a prince, a dragon and so many more characters. Sir Fartsalot is Guillermo's favorite character. Can you see the gassy fumes coming off of him!?!?! Go figure!
We can't wait to get to the climax of the story and see what this scene depicts. It looks self explanatory, but we bet it is more complex than it seems.

Deathstorm 2009

Today we are experiencing Deathstorm 2009. So far there has been rain, sleet, a bit of hail and snow. We even have a blizzard watch until tomorrow evening.

So, what is a minkee to do?!? We obviously can't play outside and it seems that with this weather all we want to do is snuggle!

We are breaking out the raspberry cocoa and getting refamiliar with our favorite show Lost. This is going to be some night! Get ready for thunder snow and minkee hoots!

OMG this thing is awesome!!!!!

Last night Jen and Brian when over to Jen's folks for dinner. When they got there Jen got this minkee purse as a gift from her parents. Jen says it is a coin purse, I say it is awesome! I have been struttin' my stuff around here wearing this puppy all day. I do look fetching if I do say so myself.

Being the curious sort of creature I had to check this thing out from all angles. I doesn't fit much, just half a muzzle. Can't blame a minkee for trying. I think it is pretty cool that Jen's folks are keeping the minkee tradition alive.

Well, I am off to find more uses for this thing. If you have any ideas let me know. Oh and FYI, I already have used it as a fart holder so you will need to come up with something different.

You can recreate a monkey.....

But their habits will stay the same.  As soon as I brought up warm laundry this happened.  I just turned my back for a few seconds, heard the giggling, and knew something was up.  I can see that some things will never change.  Never let a monkey near the warm laundry!

Oh, My God!!!!  These are SUPERAWESOME!!!!!

Ahh.... We're back

We have been away at a Spa vacation.  We had all kinds of relaxing treatments to make us nice and tight.  There was the seaweed body wrap to shrink our tummies, a little Botox around the muzzles and mud masks.  It was awesome.  We got used to a lot of pampering!

Thanks to our vacation I lost several ounces of excess fluff.  As an added bonus Jen made us some handsome summer scarves.  I think it makes me look fetching.
While away, I also got a tummy tuck and a butt lift.  I still have my round ampleness, but not quite so ample.  I really like my scarf too.  Maybe we can work on getting it untangled.
Expect to hear more of our adventures soon.

Rich Corinthian Leather

Oooohhhh La la.  Jen got some lovely leather shoes the other day and it was time to play!  At first we thought bumper cars, but they were too hard to get around in like this.

So, we opted for stadium seating for a movie.  The shoes are oh so cute, but make great minkee sized chairs.
Especially when you get your ball and can keep your head up high for premium television viewing.
We truly hope she doesn't want these shoes back anytime soon.  They are super comfy and perfectly sized just for us.

Plus the smell of leather is so intoxicating.  Mmmmmmm.   Make sure to see who else is playing on Candid Carrie's Fx4!

You gotta do what you gotta do

Today has been a cold, cold day compared to the last week or so.  It was windy and rainy and it sent chills down to my tiny minkee bones.  I did what any good monkey would do, found some warmth.  These are a pair of Jen's moon pants.  They are a bit too big, so I think I will have to locate somewhere new to get warm.

I decided to go straight for the warm socky goodness.  I crawled into Jen's socks and hung out for a while.  Only problem was that she was unable to walk with me in her socks.  It became a problem when she had to go cook dinner, so I had to find a new place to stay warm as well.
Now, that's the stuff.  A nice warm pillow, Guillermo's warming toots and a dryer sheet on my head.  This is the life.  It is good to be a minkee sometimes.  Hope Jen doesn't want this pillow any time soon.

Bernardo, what the hell?!?!?!?

This is awesome!!! Jen got a Chi and it came wrapped up in this fantastic bubble wrap. I am one lucky minkee!

I wonder what Bernardo is doing. I haven't seen him in a while. I'd better go check on him....

With a little help from Jen's parents we were able to sneak a card to her for Mothers Day.  We figured since there is no creator day we would show our appreciation today.  Here is the cool card we got for her:

Lazy Daze

Ahhhhh, this is the life!

We get be lazy around the apartment all day, sunning ourselves on the porch and hooting it up.  Then we head in around 4, take a nap and get ready for the evening festivities.  We have some dinner, maybe a nip or two of beer, watch some shows and play some wii.  Man, it is good to be a monkey!

Next week however we may plan an adventure or two.  If you have any ideas, send them our way.  We are always looking for something new to try!

Minkees Out!

Jeeeennnn... We want some attention...

Jen, don't you want to cuddle a minkee?  I've got my ball and Bernardo has his special butterfly ears in.  Give us some love.....

We know you have been busy with grad class, and now lining up things to maybe realign to a new teaching position at work, but sometimes a minkee needs their creator.  We miss you.  Come watch the Food Network for a while.  We'll even keep our minkee paws crossed in hopes that you get the new job.  You would be a great reading teacher.

Say it ain't so...

Are you sure about this?  I don't know if I am brave enough to leave the warm comfy goodness of the bed yet.  You are sure it is above zero today.....

Wow, it actually is in the double digits above zero today.  Kick booty!  The last few days we have stayed in the executive suites because the temperatures were in the negative and windchill up to -40.  No time for a minkee to be out, unless you are a snow minkee which we are not!  OK, let's get out of bed!
Maybe we can just wear Jen's sweater until we readjust to the apartment temperature....  Wait.....No....We're Cold.....Man she took her sweater back.....  I hope she doesn't notice I farted in it.....

While Jen's away the minkees play

Wow, we have had a busy week!  We found these fantabulous PJ's Jen's mom gave her and have had a hay day playing with them.  If you look closely they picture many of our kin!

We found them on Tuesday after the ringworm incident.  Guess what, she doesn't actually have it, just a really weird dry patch on her arm.  So when she gets home its cuddle time.
Anyway, back to Tuesday.....  We found these in the laundry and decided game on.  We played Army crawl in the legs and raced to see who could get out first.  Guillermo got stuck at one point.  He got scared (as usual) and I came to the rescue.  However, he insisted on luring me with his stink.....
Once out we decided to play around in her shirt.... of course, not while she was wearing it!  Did you know it has built in minkee holders?
We wish all shirts came with minkee holders!  That would be awesome.  We could be carted around all day barking orders.  Kick Ass!  Oops, sorry Jen..... Kick Butt!

Yesterday and today were filled with more of the same.  Good times, good times!  Unfortunately we are done playing for the week, she said she needed to wash them because they smell a little 'off'.  I wonder what she means?

Focus Monkey, Focus!

Ah, much better.  Jen had a little problem earlier this week.  You see she forgot the rule of lifting with your knees and not your back.  She was just a little sore for a couple of days, but she's a.o.k. now.

In order to help with the healing process, she needed to use the heating pad to relax those sore muscles.  Well, we weren't very understanding in the beginning and thought it was play time.  Oops!  No wonder she got mad when we pushed her off the chair to snuggle into the warm gooeyness of the heating pad!

Once Brian sat us down and explained the situation to us, we became very apologetic cuddle minkees.  But can you really blame us?  We just wanted to stay warm!
